This is a fun story. It involved a friend wanting to come over for dinner. I had been working the whole day and completely forgot to buy groceries and when I came home there wasn't any proper food that I could cook except well-packaged ramen.

So I improvised. Ended up being pretty great, especially because of the sauce that's leftover? You can eat it with tofu and rice and it's YUM!

Note: The image is for reference only and you can pick any packaged ramen that you like!

Ingredients

  1. Packaged Ramen

  2. Water

  3. Salt

  4. Soy Sauce

  5. Garlic (minced)

  6. Green onion (chopped fine)

  7. Brown sugar (1tsp)

  8. Oil 4tsps

Directions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove, heat up the oil

  2. Mix the garlic, green onion, brown sugar the tastemaker from the ramen packet together.

  3. Pour the hot oil over it. Mix well.

  4. Boil the noodles according to the instructions

  5. Strain the water.

  6. Add the noodles to a bowl, add a little bit of the sauce and try it!

Too much of the sauce can be overpowering so I usually just do it little by little.

The left over sauce?

Use it as a topping with silken tofu and rice!

This is a very win-win meal btw!
